Stephen Michael Foundation set to launch

Leah RobertsFremantle Gazette

THE Stephen Michael Foundation will officially launch at a Gala Dinner on November 10.

Stephen Michael Foundation chief executive Tom Bottrell said despite the Foundation having already operated for 18 months, they wanted to be in a position to tell the successful stories of the early stages.

“The Stephen Michael Foundation manages and facilitates personal development programs using sport as the vehicle to engage the youth and young adults,” he said.

“The SM Foundation supports young people regardless of cultural background, gender or social circumstances.”

Mr Bottrell said any people who were passionate about supporting community development and youth behaviour could attend.

“Stephen Michael is the greatest player to have played for South Fremantle Football Club and perhaps one of the greatest to have played in Western Australia,” he said.

“The fact that he is actually one of the greatest people you are likely to meet, we believe, makes this night a unique opportunity to support a fantastic cause and to meet a Legend of WA Sport.”
