Suzanne Bailey will take part in the Weekend to End Womens Cancers in April, with money raised going to the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
Ms Bailey said she was inspired to walk to honour two close family members.
Her mother-in-law died 12 months ago after battling breast, bone and lung cancer.
Her own mother is a 14-year breast cancer survivor.
Ms Bailey said the Pretty Tough team was eager to accept the challenge.
My commitment is based on love for lost family members and also for the survivors, she said.
Its based on the realisation that we each need to do our part in this fight.
I can walk, I can raise funds to benefit Perkins and I can choose to be a part of this movement to take down womens cancers.
Ms Bailey said she had received magnificent support from local businesses in Leeming.
