Beaconsfield Primary Students Get Lesson in School History

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

The school is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year and called on former students to help the celebrations with photos and memorabilia from their time at the school.

As a thank you, current students held a morning tea for the group and were able to ask them questions about how their time at school was different to how school is today.

Deputy principal Bhavneet Singh said the students were able to get a better understanding of what life was like at the school from as far back as the 1960s.

“Kids are inquisitive by nature and this has been a great opportunity for them to ask questions and compare what life and school was like in the past,” she said.
