Year 9 students from Emmanuel Catholic College in Success travel to Mater Christi Catholic Primary School in Yangebup each Monday to help Year 1 students improve their reading skills.

Mater Christi acting principal Mark Ryan said both groups of students benefited from the weekly exercise.

"Their confidence is growing, their interest in reading and shared reading is increasing and it's wonderful to see boys and girls of all ages pursuing reading both for fun and education," he said.
