Summa stays strong

Summa Williams was last week presented with an AJ Diamond Club Bravery Award by Fremantle Dockers recruit Brady Grey.

The Dockers, in association with the South Metropolitan Area Health Service, present the awards annually to young kids who have shown courage while spending time in hospital.

Last year Summa (9) was forced to spend a week in hospital with pneumonia, but chronic asthma over the last five years has meant she had made many hospital trips prior to that.

Throughout her seven-day stay, Summa amazed staff and her family with her cheerfulness and maturity, and has thrived by monitoring her condition and ensuring she keeps track of her medication every day.
