The 84m vessel is being built in Henderson by Echo Yachts, a company featuring a regional who’s who of the Australian super yacht industry, and was set up specifically to build yachts for a Singapore family.

The giant vessel will be accompanied by a 46m catamaran to carry a hovercraft, jetskis, and other watercraft designed for sport and recreation, and will also come with a 12m tender for sea bed and sunken wreck exploration.

Director Mark Stothard said the catamaran should be good to go in September.

The super yacht, which is due for completion next year, is also coming along nicely.

“The super yacht is also well on track with all of the generating sets now installed in the outer hulls and the large electric propulsion motors also installed in the main hull,” he said.

“The tank room and systems room are well advanced and floating floors are being installed throughout the vessel.

“We still have some bow modules and stern modules to come, but within these modules are a lot of detailed design as they house anchoring, thrusting and ride control systems.”

The yacht will be finished in the last quarter of 2017.
