THE discovery of a suspicious package forced police to close part of Fremantle Train Station this morning.
The Bomb Squad was called in and a bomb-inspection robot was deployed.
A Transperth spokesman said he became aware of the incident about 9am.
The spokesman stressed train services ran as normal throughout the incident, although some buses could not pull in as close to the station as they would normally be able to.
Police set up an exclusion zone around the station.
Police gave the all clear just before 10.40am, and the station is now completely open again.
