About 100 stools made by Perth residents at weekend workshops at the Myre Project will be placed at spots throughout the festival.
The idea is the brainchild of furniture maker Andrew Christie who has been running the stool-making workshops for the past few weeks.
‘It is tremendously rewarding to make something with your own hands,’ he said.
‘People who come in and make a stool leave with a sense of achievement. I had a teenage boy who had come into the store to buy a computer game, not knowing the Myer had closed, and ended up making a stool. His mother was beaming when she found out.’
