Teen stabbed in Fremantle last week dies in hospital

AN 18-year-old man has died in hospital after an assault in Fremantle last week.

The teenager boarded a bus at the Fremantle Train Station with a 35-year-old woman on November 23 but the woman soon became rowdy.

The bus driver stopped and asked the woman to leave because of her behaviour.

Police allege the pair got off the bus before the woman assaulted the teenager with a knife, causing a chest wound.

Police announced this afternoon that the teenager died in hospital from his injuries over the weekend.

The man collapsed with a wound to his chest and the woman left the scene before being arrested nearby.

The woman was charged with grievous bodily harm and two counts of breach of bail.
