Ceramic artist Pippin Drysdale, author Joan London and puppeteer Noriko Nishimoto (pictured) were among 15 people recognised with the honour for their lifetime contribution to the industry.

Arts Minister John Day said the awards recognised and celebrated the role the recipients had played in developing their craft.

“The 15 exceptional recipients of this year’s awards have made a defining and long-term contribution to Western Australia’s culture, history and arts,” he said.
