TWO awards at the recent WA Police and Community Youth Centre annual awards have reinforced Fremantle PCYC as one of the best youth-based organisations in the area.

Fremantle PCYC took out the major award, named the Centre of the Year-Metropolitan for its performance as a community hub, successful sporting programs in gymnastics, basketball and badminton, and participation in outside events such as the Winter Film Festival, Naidoc Week and WA Day.

The centre’s Caitlin Irving also won the Volunteer of the Year Award-Senior for her involvement in the Safe Space program, while Wendy Everett received a Certificate of High Recognition in the same category.
