Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

Adventure World, which recently opened a new $7 million waterslide, will battle Fremantle Markets, Fremantle Prison, the Bell Tower and Perth Mint for the Major Tourist Attraction Award.

The park also has two employees up for the Young Achiever Medal, with head of guest experience Chris Smoje and assistant operations manager Chris Nunn nominated alongside Victoria Johnson from the Margaret River Busselton Tourism Association.

WA Tourism Council chief executive Evan Hall said the high standards set by nominees reflected the passion of tourism operators in WA.
