Tracc Civil wins road improvement tender

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

Bibra Lake’s Tracc Civil was selected by the City of Cockburn to duplicate Berrigan Drive between the Kwinana Freeway and Jandakot Road.

A median island will divide traffic flow and bike lanes will feature on both sides of the road.

The company, which is close to finishing work on the duplication of Beeliar Drive in Beeliar, will also change the roundabout at Dean Road and Jandakot Road into an intersection with traffic signals and build a new road to link the transformed junction with Pilatus Street (formerly Orion Road) at the airport.

The work forms part of the City’s major roads program proposed for the 2016-17 financial year.

The price tag for the project will be about $8 million once additions including traffic signals, which will be supplied and installed by a Main Roads contractor, and other service costs are factored in.
