IF you are keen to “trick or treat” but not sure where to go then Aubin Grove might be the answer.
After successful turnouts over the previous two years, the Roberts family has again transformed its garage on Armand Drive into a haunted house.
Mum Hayley Roberts said the structure for the walkthrough took about six months to put up, “then it’s a mad rush for the last few days getting everything else ready”.
“Last year we had about 600 people through,” she said.
“I’m hoping no more than 900 this time around, otherwise I’ll run out of lollies.”
Mrs Roberts said the family initially took part thanks to her husband, who became fond of the Halloween tradition after spending time in Canada.
“People don’t really do it over here but with this being a newer suburb and there being a lot of little kids, we found we had so many kids coming through,” she said.
“The first year it was just kids dressing up. Now we find more parents are joining in.
“It’s heaps of fun and the kids love it.”
To view the haunted house visit Armand Drive in Aubin Grove between now and 9pm tonight.
