The aim was to raise money for Variety WA and the work it does helping disadvantaged and special needs children.

Bibra Lake’s Darren Clark, Jandakot resident Adam Steel and Leeming local Glenn Donaldson drove a Fremantle Dockers-themed 1964 EH Holden wagon, helping to raise more than $20,000.

Mr Donaldson said the car featured goal posts that could be used when they stopped to kick the footy at local schools.

“Being our first Variety Bash, we were all so excited to explore the top end of Western Australia while also helping a charity at the same time,” he said.

“Travelling with your mates and going down some real country tracks has been a blast.”
