Walking in honour of Nanna

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

Wanting to do something to help others living through the same thing, Ms De Sousa is aiming to walk 60km in two days as part of the next Weekend to End Women’s Cancer.

She said she was aiming to raise $2500 for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research to help fund equipment for breast and ovarian cancer research. ‘I saw the advertisement for the event and felt it was something I needed to do for her, especially when I noticed the date of the event is a week after her one-year anniversary,’ she said.

Her team ‘Angel Wings’ are holding a number of fundraising events in the lead-up. To attend an event, or to donate, email Team_Angels_Wings@outlook.com.
