Welcome boost for business

Aimed at helping Fremantle’s new generation of high quality niche retailers establish themselves in the port city, the incentives could see either a direct cash payment of up to $10,000, the discounting of council rates for landowners who are able to attract desirable tenants, or discounted leases on properties owned by the city.

Fremantle Mayor Brad Pettitt said their approach to targeting businesses was something that could enhance Fremantle’s brand as a destination for specialist retail.
