An up-and-coming designer with new online boutique Five and Dime, Wyness has been selected to take part in the Makeshift Festival aspect of the event.

The Makeshift Festival will see 12 local designers like Wyness display their creations in one of a dozen Northbridge stores.

She said she was honoured when she was asked to show off her label PET as part of the festival.

‘PET is six collections a year of resort wear because I want to design clothes that you want to wear on holiday or, better yet, make you feel like you are on holiday,’ she said.

‘I’m obsessed with prints and crossing the line between awesome and completely over the top, easy to wear and making a pretty bold statement.

‘I’ll be launching my new Pyjamas line for Makeshift and the fashion festival, but I’m most excited about the store window takeover and while I’m not going to give anything away, I’m looking forward to going a little coconuts.’

The Makeshift Festival is on in Northbridge from September 17 to 22.
