The primary school was recently awarded a five-star accreditation for having 95 per cent or more of their canteen sales as healthy food as part of Star Canteen Accreditation Program 2 (StarCAP2).

They are the first school in WA to achieve the five-star rating.

Winterfold canteen manager Pip Slaughter said the team had worked extremely hard in promoting the healthy options to their students.

‘Not only does it continue the healthy food message students learn in class, but it also provides a practical, tasty example of what healthy food choices can be,’ she said.
