Winterfold Primary students show off their talents at the Winterfold Art Exhibition

Leah RobertsFremantle Gazette

WINTERFOLD Primary School students have displayed their work for families as part of a bi-annual art exhibition.

Winterfold Primary Schoolart coordinator Sallie Fullerton said it was the sixth time the exhibition had been held and that art had always been part of the school culture.

“When the Art Blast show folded some years ago, as a school it was decided that we still wanted to display the children’s art to our families and the wider community,” she said.

“We use one of our out of school reporting to parents session to present the children art in the shape of an exhibition.

“It has grown considerably in size and in positive feedback over the years.”

Mrs Fullerton said there was always a wow factor from the children when they see their art work displayed.

“Sharing their work, inspirations as well as the positive responses they receive from all the staff at the school is very gratifying for them,” she said.

“Teachers always enjoy art with the children when it all comes together on such an amazing evening there is always a certain enthusiastic buzz around the school from the staff.”
