DUST off those beanies, scarves and gloves, Winterworld is skating back into Fremantle on Friday.

Celebrate all the best bits of winter when an ice skating rink, snow pit, slide, fire pits, silent disco and market takes over the Esplanade Reserve for the popular annual event.

If staying warm is more preferable, The National Hotel’s Cabin Bar’s mulled wine and warm winter beverages will heat up even the most thawed out bodies, or attendees can choose to rug up on a comfortable couch in the Winter Lounge.

Fremantle mayor Brad Pettitt said it was great to see the event back in the heart of the port city.

“I look forward to welcoming everyone down to Freo this winter for more family-friendly fun and entertainment at Winterworld,” he said.

“With our intimate spaces and cosy corners, Fremantle is the perfect place for people to snap themselves out of their winter hibernation and enjoy some great food, great live music and great company.”

Winterworld Fremantle is on from June 29 to July 21.

It is free to enter but tickets are required for some activities.
