The two men will be part of a group of more than 100 taking part in the Hawaiian Ride for Youth next month, an event that is now in its 12th year of raising funds and awareness for the Youth Focus goal of preventing youth suicide.
Mr James said he was looking forward to the 700km trek from Albany to Perth for the third time.
‘This is a very important cause to me, despite the fact that thankfully I do not have any personal experience of depression,’ he said.
‘I currently have two young boys growing up fast and finding their way in the world, so I can relate to some of the challenges that they face. By being involved I can not only assist in raising funds for people in need of Youth Focus’ services, but I can also help to create important awareness of the issue within my own community and circle of friends.’
