Every Tuesday and Saturday morning for the rest of the month, Coast Port Beach is opening early to bring low-impact hatha yoga classes to busy locals.

Instructor Sofi Eriksen said it was a perfect venue for yoga and a great way for locals to start their day.

“People have really enjoyed the classes so far, especially because of the location, and practising yoga with those stunning ocean views is outstanding,” she said.

“There is always something going on, something to look at, listen to or scroll through and I think it’s very important to take time every now and then to turn off all distractions and tune into your own body.

“I always come away from my own yoga practice feeling refreshed and relaxed, and that’s the feeling I’d like to share with others.

“When you take the time to actually breathe, move your body and relax it can change your perspective.”

There is no set class price, with Ms Eriksen accepting donations instead. Sessions start at 8am every Tuesday and Saturday until June 2.
