Erin Lamb won the Interflora Florist of the Future national competition, beating four other finalists from across Australia, with the judges considering her five designs created over two days the best.
‘I was surprised, but completely ecstatic,’ she said following the win.
‘I couldn’t call people from home quick enough.’
The 23-year-old, who has honed her craft at Balshaw’s Florist in Bicton for six years, was attracted to the profession while at high school.

‘Floristry helps me take my art further, but in a more challenging way,’ Ms Lamb said.
‘Eventually I would love to own my own florist shop, but for now I am loving where I am and all the support I receive from Balshaw’s.’
