Imagine if you or your child were born in another country as a persecuted minority in Afghanistan, Sri Lanka or a stateless Palestinian or Kurd with no safe place to call home.
Then compare this with your life here: sipping lattes, drinking beer and summers at the beach.
It would be nice if we here in this lucky country could offer those fleeing a life of torture and trauma some compassion, understanding and generosity.
