Eliminate shark threat

STEVE PORTELLI, AtwellFremantle Gazette

There have been dozens of sightings of large sharks, with most of them white pointers in Cockburn Sound. Most reports don’t go anywhere near the media and then there are the numerous sightings by fishermen that are not reported.

Since a huge sanctuary was created off South Australia some several decades ago, white pointer numbers have exploded.

The situation will worsen until someone has the guts to put human lives before sharks.

I applaud Colin Barnett on his stance.
