LAST week's Gazette ran two full-page adverts encouraging West Aussies to stop smoking - right after a half-page advert in which the State Government promotes its proposed solution to traffic congestion: build more roads.

I fail to see how the proposed Roe 8 freeway right through a flourishing eco system will make us healthier.

Bibra Lake and the Beeliar Wetlands are used daily by many for healthy pursuits such as walking and cycling.
