No store assist

IN response to the reader in Cockburn Gazette (November 22) going to a department store and not finding any floor staff for assistance, you are not alone.

Go to any of the well known stores and try and find floor staff. If you find one, it is usually a junior who goes and seeks help from a senior staff member, if there is one, and the stores never put any more staff on checkouts unless they absolutely have to.
