Opinion: Worthless values

Mark Dyer, RockinghamFremantle Gazette

THE “selfie takers” who frequently shop for the latest ‘virtue fashion’ in the identity aisle of their ‘progressive seven-eleven’ have come to accept as a self-evident truth that the morality dollar is guaranteed to buy them the most popular, elite brands, while the ‘rationality dollar’, by comparison, is now all but worthless.

And with the self-serving, political-media class having an infantile predilection for talking the ‘morality dollar’ up, irrespective of its real value to the circumstances, the ‘rationality exchange rate’ will continue its decline to the point where our Western values won’t be worth the now-desiccated vellum they were written on.
