Policy on the run

MR Barnett continues to claim that Roe 8 will take 5000 trucks off local roads. He can claim to remove the trucks from Leach Highway, though I doubt all trucks will suddenly stop using the direct route to the port totally.

It is not actually removing vehicles, just relocating them through another route, thereby increasing congestion through suburbs with more lights stoppages along the way.

Mr Barnett, those 5000 trucks are still on WA roads unless those drivers are losing their jobs.

Now the second stage of this project is in limbo, not knowing when or how it will be completed and at what cost.

This Barnett-led government continues to make decisions and policies on the run, but why am I surprised.

It has been doing it for most of its time in government.
