Vehement objection to moving North Coogee and Hamilton Hill

No desire to move boundaries.
No desire to move boundaries.

IN response to Adin Lang’s so-called move of North Coogee and Hamilton Hill to the City of Fremantle, I have lived in Hamilton Hill for the past 27 months and I have never been surveyed about the so-called move of boundaries.

I object to this vehemently. This so-called move by Mr Lang is self-centred and really has nothing to do with the majority of residents in the suburbs mentioned.

Let us look at a couple of small things. All our rubbish bins are collected weekly. In Fremantle they are staggered weekly or fortnightly depending on the colour.

Rates are more expensive in Fremantle. The elected members from the mayor down do not appear to be on top of what the ratepayers want nor do they know what the are doing themselves.

Look at the proposed development behind the Town Hall that no one seems to know what is going on, let alone the council.

Mr Lang, if you are so desperate to be part of the City of Fremantle, then I suggest you move.

I am more than happy to be in the City of Cockburn.

Oh and by the way, I visit Fremantle at least five times a week.

WARREN RALPH, Hamilton Hill.
