Low turnout, council election. Opinion

Janice TeoFremantle Gazette

THANK you for the joke of the week with the reports in the October 27 edition about low voter turnout in the recent council elections.

The reason for the low turnout is not unknown to the voters.

In the past we voted, yet over the years the mayor and council have taken liberties and did what they thought and did not take the voters’ wishes into consideration.

What the hell what the voters think.

There’s no point in voting for whoever or whatever because in the long run no one will stay true to their word and nothing will get done to please the voters.

It’s a circus… so bring on the clowns.

PS: I did vote.
