Driftwood townhouses offer housing diversity in Port Coogee

Staff WriterFremantle Gazette

INTEREST is expected to be high for the release of five townhouses in stage one of Yolk Property Group’s Driftwood project in the Port Coogee estate, North Coogee.

Director Pete Adams said they would appeal to first-home buyers, downsizers, singles and investors.

“These townhouses are ideal for those that aren’t quite ready for apartment living but don’t want a traditional home, as well as those that just don’t want the hassle of building a home but refuse to compromise on quality,” he said.

Mr Adams said Driftwood’s location would appeal to buyers looking to enjoy a coastal lifestyle and the competitively priced townhouses offered the perfect opportunity to secure a foothold in North Coogee as the suburb continued its transformation as a coastal hotspot.

“Port Coogee offers diverse coastal living designed around a world-class marina just a five-minute drive from the City of Fremantle,” he said.

“It was the first stage in the evolution of North Coogee, which started around 12 years ago and is now continuing with the neighbouring Cockburn Coast development.

“Driftwood residents are perfectly placed to take full advantage of the amenity of Port Coogee as well as that of the neighbouring development once complete.”

Construction has commenced on the townhouses, which were designed by Fremantle-based Harris Architects and are being built by Webb & Brown Neaves.

They will offer an indoor-outdoor lifestyle with open-plan living areas connecting to large private courtyards and the north-south orientation and large floor-to-ceiling glass doors will ensure living spaces obtain maximum light.

The fit-outs will include Caesarstone benchtops and Bosch appliances.

Four of the townhouses will have three bedrooms and two bathrooms and one will have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Prices start from $539,500.

Driftwood is located at 50 Lullworth Terrace, Port Coogee, a short stroll from the Marina Village.

The townhouses will be about 200m from the beach, waterplay park and playgrounds.
