BUYERS will have to move quick to snap up a home at the award-winning Knutsford residential development in Fremantle.

Completed by Shelford Constructions, five of eight newly completed homes priced from $905,000 have sold.

A further release is slated for September at the development, which has received top accolades in the state and national Architecture Awards.

FJM Property development manager Christian Fini said while there was a shift in the property cycle across Australia, buyers were still acting on unique homes.

“We believe there is always a market for quality product in great locations and that’s why we’re so pleased with the response we’ve had to Knutsford,” he said.

Mr Fini said the development was an example of FJM Property’s vision for delivering housing which respects its context while providing a precedent for medium-density, infill development characterised by timeless architecture.

“With timeless design and a focus on nurturing community, the final stage of Knutsford offers a variety of three or four-bedroom homes to suit a range of different lifestyles,” he said.

“The prime location offers beaches, leafy parks, schools, restaurants, cafes and public transport access – all within a short stroll.

“Buyers can look forward to further investment in Fremantle, with over $500 million pledged to major infrastructure and construction projects over the next few years.”

There are two-storey home types to choose from at the development, with an “upside down” design placing the main living rooms and terraces on the first floor and flexible spaces below.

They are courtyard orientated, offering the option of replacing the rear courtyard with a studio.

To celebrate the completion of the latest release, interior stylist Anna Flanders has decorated a new display home using wares from leading Fremantle and Perth-based design stores.

“The look of the home taps into the unique Fremantle style where art, travel, and comfortable, interesting interiors evoke a sense of personal style, which is the biggest trend in interior decorating today,” she said.

The display home is open from 2pm-3pm on Saturdays and by appointment.
