JANDAKOT resident Beatrice Devlyn has fulfilled a life-long dream after being picked up by the Fremantle Dockers.

The 18-year-old had been overlooked during the inaugural women’s draft in October.

But Devlyn continued to work hard and earned a spot after midfielder Emily Bonser was ruled out through injury.

As a lifelong Dockers fan, Devlyn jumped at the chance.

“I’d never been so happy in my life,” she said.

Devlyn was quick to make her presence felt, kicking Fremantle’s first ever goal during the club’s AFLW pre-season win over Adelaide.

Fremantle’s inaugural AFLW match will be against the Western Bulldogs at Whitten Oval on February 4.
