Brilliant bowling seals premiership victory

Opponents CBC won the toss and elected to bat first, trying to take advantage of the home pitch to post a big first innings total, but Cockburn’s bowlers toiled away on the back of a four-wicket haul from Troy De Jesus to bowl CBC all out for 161 runs.

Andrew Galbraith top scored with 32 runs in an innings where four of the 11 batsmen failed to make double digit scores.

Cockburn’s top order dominated in reply, Chris Kercheval leading the onslaught with 91 runs to help Cockburn to a five-wicket win.
