THE North Fremantle Amateur Football Club has unveiled a coaching coup, naming a Brownlow medallist as their new head coach.
Former Melbourne and Collingwood player and 2000 Brownlow medallist Shane Woewodin has stepped into the senior coach position ahead of the 2017 season.
NFAFC president Tony Misich said the appointment was a positive move for the club.
“I cannot stress enough the impact Shane has already had,” he said.
“Shane’s appointment offers [the players] the unique opportunity to climb to another level under his guidance and experience.
“It is now time for North to look ahead and raise the bar.
“Looking forward to the season commencing.”
