EAST Fremantle surfer Jarrah Calder will be among a strong group of longboarders at this weekend’s Whalebone Classic at Cottesloe.
Surfing his local break, Calder said he had high hopes of doing well. “This is always a favourite event of mine on the Surfing WA calendar because I get to surf in front of family and friends,” he said. “It attracts the world’s best and the atmosphere is great both in and out of the water.”
The event, in its 19th year, is one of three surfing events that make up the Triple Crown, and runs from Friday to Sunday.
