Cockburn Cougars appoint Adam Nener as head coach

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

THE Cockburn Cougars men’s side has a new head coach after the appointment of Adam Nener.

Nener will step into his first senior head coaching role following two seasons at the Willetton Tigers as an assistant coach and an extensive playing career in leagues across Australia.

“Adam is a well-respected person who was an exceptional defensive point guard with a very high basketball IQ,” the club said in a statement.

“He will use his extensive basketball background to develop a sustainable program not only for the State Basketball League team, but also a pathway for the athletes wanting to represent the Cougars when they finish their junior WABL commitments.”
