FFA Cup: dream over for Cockburn City in 2-0 loss to Melbourne Knights

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

COCKBURN City’s FFA Cup dream is over.

Taking on Melbourne Knights in the Cup’s round of 32, Cockburn started the big match shakily, conceding a goal to Jacob Colosimo in the 21st minute before midfielder David Araya poked home an equaliser just before half time courtesy of an Angel Andres interception.

There was an arm-wrestle in the first 25 minutes of the second half before Melbourne’s Stipo Andrijasevic sealed the win for the home team with a goal in the 70th minute.
