Fremantle girls team win AFL curtain-raiser against Ellenbrook

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

IT was not a great game for the Fremantle Dockers against Carlton on Sunday, but the Fremantle City Dockers Youth All Girls team had a screamer in their curtain-raiser match against Ellenbrook.

Inclement weather was not enough to dampen the spirit, or the skills, of the young girls, who dominated in front of goals to beat Ellenbrook 9.10 (64) to 5.3 (33).

South Fremantle district representative Kym Hart said the game supported the development of junior and youth football in the state.

“The game was amazing, a great day was had by all except for the Dockers loss,” she said.
