Fremantle Hockey Club women ready for season’s pointy end

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

FREMANTLE Hockey Club’s Promotion 1 women are knuckling down for the toughest part of the season to date, not only preparing for a massive grand final but also gearing up for a push to join the top competition.

The Magpies will have three games to prove they deserve to be promoted to the league women competition, playing against YMCC, Lions and Hale for the last two spots in the 2017 line up.

That campaign kicked off in a less-than-ideal fashion against YMCC last night, with Fremantle going down 6-1.
