SOME of the state’s best cricketing talent will head east to take part in the Under 15 Female National Championships in Hobart.

WA’s 13-girl squad, which includes Atwell’s Gorgia Platten, Canning Vale’s Kailey Wheatcroft and Southern River’s Georgia Ireland, will take part in a combination of T20 and 50-over matches.

Players who perform well could potentially earn an invite to a Cricket Australia talent camp, as well as represent the CA All Australia side.

Coach Orazio Santalucia said his side was dreaming big.

“I have stated right from the get go that we will aim to win every match we play and that reputations count for nothing,” he said.

“These girls will do WA proud and will be the leaders of a new era in WA Female cricket.”

The team will play from November 25 to 30.
