FREMANTLE Hockey Club’s women 1’s team will play in the State League competition in 2017 after a massive win in their final promotion/relegation game on Thursday night.

Also finishing the regular season on top of the Promotion 1 ladder, which earned them an automatic placing in next weekend’s grand final, the Magpies will next year compete against the best in the competition after getting through the promotion/relegation round robin with two wins from three games.

Last night’s hard-fought 2-1 win over fellow Promotion 1 team Hale sealed their passage to the premier competition in the State.
