FOUR local footballers are off to Geelong in July after being selected to represent WA in the School Sport Australia National Championships.
Jandakot Jets players Dylan Marriot, Jackson Carter and Joshua Grant were selected in the 15s side and Jack Poole the 12s to take to the field in a competition featuring some of the country’s most talented juniors.
Jets coach Tony Brewer said he couldn’t be prouder of the boys.
“I think all the boys will handle the pressure of State football really well, as they are under no illusion of what is required at this level and have put in the extra work,” he said.
“Young Jack has been training with older boys at club level to prepare for the extra pressure he will be under at State level, while Dylan, Jackson and Joshua have all played district football for South Fremantle Warriors and handled the rise in class from club level really well.
The coach said he knew they would represent WA well.
