Hilton Park Junior Cricket Club won the Spirit of Cricket award and coach Daniel Hansen was conferred a regional Coach of the Year award.

Jandakot Jets Junior Cricket Club’s Kyle Woosnam was named the Milo in2Cricket Co-ordinator of the Year.

It capped off an outstanding year for the two clubs, with Jandakot taking home premierships in the U17 and U14 division, while Hilton Park narrowly lost the U15 grand final.

Hilton Park JCC registrar Liz Houlton said the club was very happy to be recognised.

“In rebuilding this club we have collectively committed to a family friendly community minded ethos and the CJCC Spirit of Cricket Award lets us know that we are on the right track,” she said.

“This has been an incredible year for this small club and we are very proud of being named both the SWMJCC Junior Cricket Club of the Year and the City of Fremantle’s Community Sports Club of the Year this year as well as receiving the CJCC Spirit of Cricket Award.

“It reflects the amazing spirit of our volunteers, players and their families.”
