LakesideLightning name four imports for season 2017

There will be a trio of new faces after the club signed North Carolina point guard Devon Atkinson and New York forward James Padgett to the men’s team, while California shooting guard Sydnee Fipps will suit up for the women.

Illinois guard Ali Schwagmeyer will make her return to the women’s team after enjoying playing for the club last year.

“I really enjoyed the team and really came to know a lot of friendly and awesome people from the community of Lakeside that made my time here not just great on the court but also off the court,” she said.

“So I signed back a second season with Lakeside because they graciously offered.

“I just feel like this is a great place to grow on the court but also grow in my spiritual life as well and a player does not often get those two things together.”

The Lightning starts its 2017 campaign on March 18 in Eaton against the South West Slammers.
