FREMANTLE Netball Club’s juniors proved they were among the best in the west at the 2017 Association Championships last weekend, winning eight divisions.

Fremantle dominated the state competition, declared champions in eight of the 35 divisions including the Division 1 title in the Under 12, 13 and 15 age groups.

For the third year running, the Fremantle Jaffas took out the No Limits Division, a competition for players with an intellectual disability.

Netball WA chief executive Simon Taylor said this year’s event had been a big success.

“The Championships showcase the very best of our game, including the sense of friendship, fair play and community to which netball is intrinsically linked,” he said.

“It was truly pleasing to see just how proud the players, coaches, umpires and officials, as well as their families were to represent themselves and their association on this significant stage.”
