SURFING runs through the veins of the Le Grice brothers.
John Curtin College of the Arts students Moses and Archie are making waves in the sport, with the duo representing the school at a WA Schools Surfing Competition.
Despite being in Year 8, Archie surfed alongside Moses (Year 11) in the senior division and helped John Curtin take first place from the grasp of more experienced pairs.
Moses is looking to take his competitive streak one step further after being selected for the WA surfing team to compete in a national competition in Queensland later this month.
He said it was inevitable both he and Archie would fall into the sport with their dad being such an avid surfer.
“I’m super happy to be surfing alongside my brother and I’m so proud of how he stepped up his game while surfing in the senior division and we’re really proud of our effort for our school,” he said.
“I’m so happy to be heading over to North Stradbroke Island in November to represent the state and be a part of the WA team.
“My dream is to qualify for the Championship Tour and compete alongside the best surfers in the world, maybe even have a go at winning a world title.”
