John Curtin students riding a wave of success

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

John Curtin College of the Arts students Moses and Archie are making waves in the sport, with the duo representing the school at a WA Schools Surfing Competition.

Despite being in Year 8, Archie surfed alongside Moses (Year 11) in the senior division and helped John Curtin take first place from the grasp of more experienced pairs.

Moses is looking to take his competitive streak one step further after being selected for the WA surfing team to compete in a national competition in Queensland later this month.

He said it was inevitable both he and Archie would fall into the sport with their dad being such an avid surfer.
