ROYAL Fremantle golfer Minjee Lee is well positioned to charge for a medal when round three of the women’s golf resumes in Rio tonight.

Lee’s 67 put her at four under in round two and equal eighth with a score of 136 or six under.

She is currently four strokes behind competition leader Inbee Park (South Korea) who is on 132 or 10 under.

American Stacey Lewis fired the best round on the second day of competition, carding a 63 round or eight under, to be second overall.

Lee started well on the front nine sinking five birdies with just the one bogey.

However, on the back of the course, she managed par with a bogey on the 14 cancelling out a birdie on the 10th.

Round three tees off at 6.30pm (AWST) tonight.
